Overview

The vision program offered by EyeMed Vision Care provides benefits coverage for eye exams, glasses, and contacts from a large network of Independent and Retail providers. For convenience, when using an in-network provider, benefits and discounts are applied at the provider’s office.


EyeMed’s Insight network offers a large network of independent eye doctors and top optical retailers for employees. You can even use your vision benefits at online eyewear stores, like LensCrafters®, Target Optical®, Glasses.com™, ContactsDirect and Ray-Ban®.

  • Who is the provider?

    EyeMed connects you with great eye doctors, quality eyewear, and the affordable care you deserve. To find a provider go to EyeMed.com and choose the Insight network.
  • How can this help me?

    In addition to your benefits for glasses and contacts, EyeMed members get perks from participating in-network providers, like 40% off a complete second pair of prescription glasses or 20% off non-prescription sunglasses.*

    Create a member account on eyemed.com or grab the EyeMed Members App (Google Play or App Store) to see your full benefits, manage claims and score special offers.

  • Who is eligible?

    Active part-time employees are eligible to participate in the plan. Eligible dependents include spouse, domestic partner, and both married and unmarried dependent children (including children of a domestic partner) until their 26th birthday.
  • When can I enroll?

    As a new hire, you can enroll within your first 30 days. Outside of your new hire enrollment period, enrollment is limited to the company’s annual enrollment period.
  • What if my employment status changes?

    If you leave your employer, you will no longer have coverage.
  • Can I be turned down for coverage?

    No. Underwriting is not required for vision coverage. You may enroll within 30 days after meeting the initial eligibility requirements or during a subsequent open enrollment, provided eligibility continues to be met.
  • How can I cancel my vision coverage?

    Cancellation of this coverage may be restricted to annual enrollment. To cancel coverage, please log into Enroll VB under the Enrollment section of this page.
